Well, the only way to start this is with a HUGE thank you to everyone who was involved in making the CannaVenture™ #2 such a success. From our sponsors to our faithful, playful puppies to @idabchicago for the sick recap video, I really appreciate you all supporting the event and hope you had as great of a time as I did!
With that being said, the weather held out and we even had a few hours before the event to get to know everyone. We set up in the West Trailhead Parking lot with the CannaVenture™ flag flying high. Our earliest attendees were greeted with gift bags full of samples and freebies from our sponsors Stoned Sweets, Extracts Inc. and Evol Vape. Recipients got free stealth kits, grams and half grams of extract, and 10 lucky people got to try a Stoned Sweets medicated gummy!
As the clouds rolled in and the time got closer to the start date, everyone started to prep for the trail and take the last few dabs and tokes before packing up.
With fifteen people and four dogs, we hit Mount Falcon loop, stopping at the Eagle Eye Shelter just in time to avoid the snow/hail that joined us and the perfect excuse to squeeze in some dabs before we continued along.
After about 5-10 minutes of the remainder of the snow, and we were off towards the ruins. About halfway along the loop, Mount Falcon is known for many ancient indian ruins found around the area. We had a chance to take our longer, more relaxed smoke break in the midst of these historic landmarks.
After wrapping up with the pups and the canna, we headed out to finish the remainder of the trail, taking the Parmalee Trail back to the trailhead.
Needless to say, the event was a success and I had a blast meeting everyone and sharing stories and smokes. I know everyone kept asking yesterday, but I needed 12 hours to decompress a bit, so here’s the announcement:
CannaVenture #3 is Sunday, June 5th. Shooting for 1:30PM for the meet up, 2:00PM trail departure. I’m hoping to have a BBQ of sorts around 12:30PM for people who would like to come early and sesh beforehand. I’ll have more information as details and sponsors are finalized.
Thank you for coming and see you next time!
