I’d like to start by saying Thank You to everyone who has ever attended a CannaVenture event. This has been our most popular season yet, and the first time we’ve ever had so much interest in hikes that we had to close RSVPs, now TWO TIMES IN A ROW. So, thank you for your continued support of our efforts.

This month’s hike kicked off mid-afternoon at Royal Arch in Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO. We had nearly 30 people and a handful of dogs join us for our second hike of the season sponsored by Incredibles.

Because it was Mother’s Day and the weather in Boulder was beautiful, the park was a bit packed but the group was able to find our meetup spot near the Ranger Cottage in time to gather and grab some free swag and CBD samples from the Incredibles team. After introductions, reminders on public consumption, and an overview of Incredibles from their team, we headed out in groups up along the trail.

Royal Arch trail was originally a moderate trail but has since been upgraded to hard in light of its almost consistent uphill nature. The trail begins on level dirt paths and eventually makes its way up a few steep inclines that were slightly muddy due to recent snow and rain. We had quite a few out-of-state attendees who had come from a much lower elevation who opted to take the trail a bit slower.

When we reached Sentinel pass, the entire group took an extended rest break to munch on snacks, burn down a few joints, blunts and bowls, and reconvene and make sure everyone was ok to keep going along to the arch.

More than 2/3 of the group made it all the way to the top and got to see the Royal Arch, a natural arch rock formation that overlooks the city of Boulder. The hike crosses rocks, inclines, and even makes you climb over a waterfall. After pictures and some climbing, the group continued up the trail a bit to a more discrete meeting spot to relax, smoke blunts, take dabs, puff vapes, and enjoy edibles.

After a while, the crew headed back down, meeting every so often before finishing the trail. We were treated to sunny skies and warm weather almost the entire way, and everyone was able to enjoy the outdoors with elevated spirits in a responsible way. A few of the hikers had worked up such an elevated appetite that we ended up enjoying a few slices of pizza at Cosmo’s off Baseline.

Our next hike is June 15th in Green Mountain Falls along the Catamount Trail. This hike is sponsored by Maggie’s Farm in Manitou Springs, and they are making an entire day out of the event with specials and pop ups specifically for CannaVenture attendees. Make sure to check out the plan and RSVP before our third hike fills up!

Happy CannaVenturing!

Much love,
Cannabenoid
