CannaVenture® CO – June Hike 2022 – Recap

Hello, Crew Members!

Thank you to all who joined us this weekend in Boulder for our June hike with Pyramid Pens.

This season has been quite the mix of the elements (from hurricane-force winds to severe snowstorms to record-setting heat) but the crew’s support has been strong, as has their willingness to get outside in spite of these elements for a little recreation in the great outdoors.

This weekend proved no different, as our crew arrived to find that parking near the trailhead had been blocked off for construction. Luckily, side streets provided enough spots for everyone to park and meet up before hitting the trail.

After welcoming everyone, Pyramid team members Steve and Jason told the crew a bit about what their company does, the products they make, and where to find them in the Colorado market.

The crew hit the trail and began our ascent. This month’s hike was rated as moderate, coming in at just under 3.6 miles long.

Due to the heat and the variety of experience among hikers, we hiked at a gradual pace, stopping as needed for water, rest, and smoke breaks.

Thanks to the aforementioned snow and rain we’ve been having, Boulder lifted their fire restrictions, allowing crew members to light up. All ashes were packed out in portable ashtrays, as were all food wrappers and doggie bags.

Through a combination of cannabis and a sense of adventure, the crew ended up taking a slightly longer route totaling just under 4.5 miles from start to finish.

But, in a world class move, Josh “Mile High Mohawk” and his wife Angel brought SNOW CONES for the crew, a welcome sight after hiking in the summer heat.
